I understand this may be the hotel's policy, however, they did not even bother to ask for my authorisation before grayson highland state park doing it.

The bed is comfortable, and housekeeping is very efficient, except for one thing.
Unfortunately it was the last hotel we stayed in during a long trip around Australia and the second hotel we stayed in at Surfers Paradise.

The bed itself was a little on the old side, budget cargo rental van as I could feel the springs. Forget service in the restaurant. This episode repeated for the rest of my stay until I threw it out (then they replaced it!). Gold Coast International Hotel: May 23, 2006This was sold to me as a 5 star hotel. They gave me my room key and made me sign for the room, but other than that, nothing over the top, considering I told them it was my anniversary weekend.
The hotel is a block away from the mastros oak steakhouse thousand beach and about a 10min or so walk to get into the heart of Surfers. They served one of those steaks on the rock, that you basically have to cook yourself! It's not my cup of tea and I didn't really like paying $30+ to cook my own food, but each to their own! All of the staff are friendly (except the check-in staff- they tended to be a bit abrupt, but I have yet to find a hotel where they are!).

No wireless internet, very complicated and extremely expensive broadband connection. The bed did not have a doona, bed cover or blanket and only had 2 sets of white cover sheets instead. The rooms are great, very spacious.
